അരമണിക്കൂറില്‍ താഴെസമയം കൊണ്ടു ചുണ്ടത്തു മായാത്ത ചിരിയുമായി ഒറ്റവായനയില്‍ തീര്‍ക്കാവുന്ന ഈ കൊച്ചുനോവലാണ് ഷിബു ഗംഗാധരന്‍ എന്നൊരു നവാഗതന്‍ മമ്മൂട്ടിയെയുംവച്ച് രണ്ടുമണിക്കൂറുകൊണ്ട് മനുഷ്യനെ കൊല്ലാക്കൊല ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

Overall its not a bad film, but lacks the drama and emotions which a movie needs. Despite all these Mammootty and few comedies remains as plus.

‘Praise the Lord’ is the cinematical adaption of Zachariya’s novel of the same name. Well, if you already know the story, then don’t expect to have something different from plot as movie has blatantly drawn out it to the screen.

രസകരമായി പറയാവുന്ന ഒരു കഥാതന്തുവിനെ ഈ പരുവത്തിലാക്കിയതിനു ദൈവം പോലും ഇവരിരുവരോടും പൊറുക്കുമെന്നു തോന്നുന്നില്ല.

സക്കറിയയുടെ അത്ര ഗുണമില്ലാത്ത രചനകളിലൊന്നാണ് പ്രെയ്‌സ് ദ് ലോഡ്. അതുവച്ച് എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ഓടാൻ തോന്നാത്ത ഒരു സിനിമയെടുത്തു ഷിബു ഗംഗാധരൻ.

അനുകല്പിതസിനിമകളുടെ മോശം മാതൃകയ്ക്ക് മകുടോദാഹരണമാണ് പ്രെയിസ് ദ ലോര്‍ഡ് എന്നു മൊത്തത്തില്‍ പറയാം.

What you can expect from the movie, which is solely dependent on god. Shibu Gangadharan's directorial ended up in a perplexed situation or if you take it in a normal state, in effect you could feel it like too melodramatic.

Director Shibu Ganghadharan, has taken a good novel to make as a film, but he has failed to impress the audiences. 

Praise The Lord never has too many dull moments, again it never has too many wow moments also. Thus strictly an above average flick at best.

മിലന്‍ ജലീല്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന്‍റെ പോരായ്മ എന്ന് പറയാവുന്നത് അതിന്‍റെ കഥയാണ്. ഒരു നോവല്‍ എന്ന നിലയില്‍ നല്ല നിലവാരം പുലര്‍ത്തിയ കഥ, പക്ഷേ, ഒരു സിനിമയാക്കാന്‍ തക്ക ആഴമുള്ളത് ആയിരുന്നോ എന്ന് സംശയമുണ്ട്‌. പക്ഷേ, അത് ഒരിക്കലും സക്കറിയയുടെ കുറ്റം ആവുന്നില്ല. കൂട്ടായ പരിശ്രമത്തിലൂടെ മികച്ചൊരു തിരക്കഥ ഒരുക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കാതിരുന്ന ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന്‍റെ അണിയറക്കാര്‍ക്ക് തന്നെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ ആ പഴി.

The blissful comic strain that made Praise the Lord a pleasurable read is badly missing in the film, its narrative over-populated with scenes and sequences and actors seldom being just to the lovable characters on the book.

Shibu Gangadharan's 'Praise the Lord' is doubtlessly devoted to its material, and yet remains a lumbering affair. Almost inexplicably, it struggles to blow life into a few charming characters that had appeared so lively on print, and which surprisingly come across as bloated on screen.

Totally unimpressive; terrible mess of an adaptation, wasted effort as an entertainer

Debutant director Shibu Gangadharan’s Praise the Lord is based on the novel of the same title, written by Paul Zachariah. Though the book has been well appreciated, the movie adaptation is old fashioned, amateurish and hopelessly inane.

Director could have handled the delicate plot with a little more conviction and passion' Praise the lord ' could have ended up as a much better fare . As of now, the literary backup and some good moments definitely helps it to remain an average entertainer.

Whether it is the witty first half or the somber second half, the director has crafted a balance between both. Pradeep Nair has captured the scenic beauty of country life really well. Shaan Rehman’s songs are good but not exceptional as such. T P Devarajan has done utmost justice to Zacharia’s story.

Praise The Lord is a good film to watch any day with your family.

Movie Praise the lord could be considered as the conflict which occurs in the life between two different ideologies coated with the covering of sarcasm. Well, how effectively that appealed to the movie goers remains is to be seen.

Praise The Lord is a disappointing film. Mammootty’s performance, some scattered humor and also the fact that there is no melodrama gives some positives to this movie which had a really good seed which was amateurishly treated.  People screaming “Halleluiah” and “Praise the Lord” after the film was much fun than the movie.

It is a challenge to make a delectable novella into a movie with the same import. Zacharia's 'Praise the Lord' is a breezy tale replete with searing satire and nuggets of wisdom. Shibu Gangadharan's cinematic take of this much loved novella strives hard but falls short of being an impressive cinematic venture.

The movie, as Zacharia said has got a bit of old generation and a bit of new generation in it which would make it enjoyable for all people.

On the whole, the movie is a good entertainer worth watching in this vacation and family audience would love it.

The movie is a pure adaptation of the novella and has no gimmicks attached to it. Beginning scenes post interval lacked a grip but later on went well. On the whole, Praise The Lord can be enjoyed well if approached with less expectations.
